As technology, retail media and changing consumer expectations reshape the shopping experience, the role of the physical store is evolving. But fundamental questions remain: What should the store become, what experiences resonate with shoppers and how can organizations measure what's driving results?

Those questions will be explored in three separate sessions at P2PI's InStore Ignite, taking place Nov. 10-12 in Chicago.

Where In-Store Innovation Goes Next

The store is becoming a very different kind of place.

Digital screens, sponsored search, retail media and emerging technologies are expanding what can happen between the entrance and checkout. But beyond the technology itself, retailers must also determine how those capabilities fit into the broader purpose and future of the store.

In this keynote session, Bobby Watts, senior vice president of AD Retail Media, digital merchandising and marketing at Ahold Delhaize USA, will share an executive perspective on the decisions shaping the next era of in-store retail. The discussion will explore building technology around the realities of grocery, creating more connected experiences across partners, channels and data, and leveraging AI to drive meaningful business outcomes.

The Store Is Not a Billboard: What It Should Be Instead

Every trip to the store presents shoppers with hundreds of decisions and countless messages competing for their attention.

In this fireside chat, Britt Polihronis, chief operating officer of Hy-Vee RedMedia, will explore what it takes to turn everyday shopper interactions into meaningful opportunities for connection.

The conversation will examine the role of thoughtful storytelling, clear messaging and a deeper understanding of what makes shoppers stop, engage and spend. It will also explore how retailers and brands can move beyond simply placing messages in front of consumers to create more effective omnichannel experiences.

Measuring What Matters Across the Shopper Journey

As shoppers move fluidly between digital and physical retail environments, understanding what is truly influencing behavior has become increasingly complex.

This session will bring together Rachel Atkinson-Leach, vice president of omnichannel marketing at Grimmway Produce Group; Charles Chuman, global head of retail media at Mondelez International; and Kyley Rouse, director of in-store media strategy and activation at Kroger Precision Marketing. The discussion will be moderated by Tom Limongello, co-host and producer of "The Middlemen Podcast."

Together, the speakers will explore how executives are connecting insights across channels to evaluate in-store performance, optimize investments and identify where digital engagement translates into physical results.

InStore Ignite will bring together manufacturers, retailers and solution providers for keynote presentations, interactive workshops, immersive store tours and collaborative discussions focused on the future of the in-store experience.

The growing agenda features leaders from DanoneChurch & Dwight, Giant Eagle, Diageo, Coca-Cola, Kroger, Haleon, Olly, Mattel, Placer.ai and many more.
