The shelf has evolved from being the last stop on the shopper journey into one where digital discovery, retail media, loyalty, content and store execution either come together or fall apart.

That means connecting in-store and digital strategies is more important than ever. To move the industry forward, the Path to Purchase Institute's InStore Ignite event, being held Nov. 10-12 in Chicago, will bring together commerce marketing professionals, brand managers and retail executives to discuss strategies for bridging product discovery with physical store sales.

The agenda features leaders from Danone, Ahold Delhaize USA, Hy-Vee, Church & Dwight, Giant Eagle, Diageo, Coca-Cola, Mondelēz, Kroger, Haleon, Olly, Mattel and more. Together, they’ll explore:

  • What the next era of in-store innovation looks like and how AI, retail media and digital merchandising will reshape the store
  • How to create omnichannel experiences that carry shoppers from click to cart to shelf
  • Why the store should be more than a billboard, and what actually makes shoppers stop, engage and spend
  • How to prove the connection between digital engagement, store visits and product sales
  • New approaches to wellness, loyalty, creator-led merchandising and cross-category collaboration
  • The strategies behind stronger secondary placements, better shelf storytelling and more connected commerce organizations

Sessions will also explore the influence of AI on product discovery, smarter assortment planning and techniques for establishing secondary merchandising placement.

Brands will learn how to boost their shelf storytelling, expand retail media integration, and optimize digital touchpoints. Retailers will delve into the strategies behind standout in-store and omnichannel orchestration, as well as data-driven collaboration models with brand partners.

InStore Ignite will also shine a spotlight on the successful internal organizational structures that are breaking down silos between marketing, sales, media, and shopper insights teams.

The event will convene together chief marketing officers, retail media directors, category managers, store operations managers, and digital transformation leaders aiming to align operations around changing consumer behavior.
