The Path to Purchase Institute has added another keynote speaker to its annual Future Forward conference, taking place May 13-15 in Philadelphia.
In addition to the previously announced sessions, Jordan Berke, founder and CEO of Tomorrow Retail Consulting and a former Walmart executive, will take the stage on May 15 to discuss one of the biggest untapped opportunities in retail today: in-store digital engagement.
In his session, “Maximizing the Immersive Journey Through In-Store Digital Engagement,” Berke will:
- define and quantify in-store digital engagement,
- explain what retailers and brands must deliver to unlock “the immersive journey,” and
- share which retailers are leading in this space.
About the speaker
Berke has more than 20 years of digital, retail and marketing experience. In 2005, he joined Walmart, where he spent more than 13 years, holding positions in merchandising, operations, finance, strategy and e-commerce. In 2010, he spearheaded the launch of e-commerce in China for Walmart’s wholesale club, Sam’s Club.
That experience led to the launch of Walmart’s redesigned online strategy in China in 2015, which Berke’s team again led. He was instrumental in forging the company’s alliances with Tencent, JD and New Dada, and he led the expansion of Walmart’s e-commerce business, which now serves millions of customers across 30 cities.
He also helped the retail giant make significant inroads to digitizing and personalizing its in-store experiences in China.
He founded his own consulting firm, Tomorrow, in 2019. Here, Berke is continuing his push to transform how customers experience the physical store.
