Whole Foods Market used Giving Tuesday to kick off a campaign with King Arthur Flour supporting the Whole Kids Foundation.The retailer has pledged to match all donations made to the nonprofit (up to $10,000) from Nov. 28 to Dec. 31 through a fundraising web page operated by San Diego-based Classy. Donors are automatically entered in a sweepstakes awarding a $250 King Arthur Flour gift card. Email blasts and updates on Whole Kids Foundation's Facebook and Twitter accounts promote the effort.Whole Foods also used the occasion to tout its other two nonprofits: the Whole Planet Foundation and Whole Cities Foundation. Display ads on the home page of wholefoodmarket.com used the hashtag #GivingTuesday and linked to each nonprofit's website while a Nov. 27 Facebook update linked to each organization's account. The Whole Planet Foundation solicited donations with a Nov. 28 email blast while the Whole Cities Foundation used a series of Facebook updates to plug its work with Philadelphia-based nonprofit Urban Tree Connection and link to its own Classy donations page.
