Amazon Adds Clinique to Its Premium Beauty Store

Estee Lauder’s Clinique began selling its products through the Amazon Premium Beauty program on March 27.Clinique joins other luxury brands including L’Oreal’s Kerastase and Wella’s OPI spotlighted on Amazon’s curated category hub. Participating brands also receive a dedicated web page, which Clinique uses to highlight its bestselling products along with moisturizers and makeup for spring. The brand developed a new skin analysis tool for the launch that allows Amazon shoppers to design a beauty regimen by answering questions about their skin type and concerns.“We are delighted to introduce Clinique to new consumers in the U.S. and make it accessible for the beauty-savvy community in the Amazon Premium Beauty store,” Michelle Freyre, Clinique global brand president, said in a statement. “This new brand experience will complement the high-touch, in-store experience our consumers already receive with our Clinique consultants in the stores of our long-term retail partners throughout the U.S. Education has always been an integral part of Clinique and we are excited to bring this aspect of our brand to Amazon customers in the U.S.”Amazon touted Clinique’s arrival with a March 27 email blast linking to the brand page. The retailer also enlisted beauty and fashion influencers, including Ashley Knie and Kate Bartlett to support the launch across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.“Clinique is a beauty brand revered around the world, drawing on a rich heritage of dermatological expertise, and beloved across generations of customers,” Melis del Rey, Amazon U.S. stores general manager of beauty, baby and beauty technology, said in a statement. “Our collaboration to bring Clinique to Amazon Premium Beauty customers in the U.S. is a result of our shared vision to inspire customers through unique shopping experiences and technology, meeting customers where they are, and helping them to explore and discover all this incredible brand has to offer.”Estee Lauder plans to bring more of its brands to the Amazon Premium Beauty store in the next few months.
