Kellogg Co. is leveraging its official marketing partnership with 20th Century Fox's Ice Age 2: The Meltdown for incentive offers involving a number of different brands. Participating Kellogg brands are giving away Ice Age 2-branded goodies including a pop-up tent, "thawmometer," blanket, Frisbee, bowl and an "ice slider" toy either in-pack or via mail-in offers. Brands involved include Apple Jacks, Rice Krispies, Eggo, and Keebler Chips Deluxe. In-store support includes shippers. Kellogg also has leveraged the film for account-specific activity:ShopRite and Ahold USA's Giant Carlisle and Tops Markets all hosted sweepstakes awarding an Alaskan cruise.A&P offered shoppers who bought three Kellogg products a voucher ticket for the movie. Albertsons' Florida stores dangled a free Ice Age 2-branded color-changing spoon with the purchase of four products.Kroger Co. offered shoppers $6 off their total grocery bill with the purchase of four Kellogg products. Circular feature for the offer included Ice Age 2 imagery. Elsewhere, Kroger Co.'s Ralphs is hosting an incentive offer delivering a $16 American Express "entertainment movie card" that shoppers can use to buy tickets to Ice Age 2 (or other films) with the purchase of $40 in participating products. Manufacturers involved in that promotion include Kellogg, Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola and ConAgra Foods. P-O-P support includes posters, signs for the participating products, and door and floor clings in the frozen food aisle. Additional support includes a direct mail campaign.
