Walmart, Ahold Execs to Deliver Summit Keynotes

Executives from Walmart, Ahold USA and several leading packaged goods companies are among the featured keynote "general session" speakers at the Shopper Marketing Summit, to be held April 8-10 at a new location, the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, IL.Walmart's Ken Mantel, senior director, marketing, and Clint McClain, senior director, marketing communications platforms, will kick off the first of three general sessions on April 9 with "How to Engage the Walmart Content Engine," an overview of Walmart's content creation capabilities as well as a roadmap for how vendors can work with the mass merchant to build their brands more effectively.A second general session later that day, "Challenges and Solutions in Measuring Shopper Marketing," will feature an "all-star" panel of executives from Campbell Soup Co., Coca-Cola Co., Hershey Co., Mondelez International and Procter & Gamble. Led by the Capré Group's Anne Chambers, the panel will examine the crucial topic of ROI, an important yet elusive foundational element of shopper marketing.The final general session on April 10 will feature Ahold USA's Erik Keptner, executive vice president-marketing and Tim Dorgan, vice president-managing director of Peapod Interactive. Their presentation, "A Look Under the Hood at Ahold USA's Multichannel, Personalized Approach to Grocery Shopping," will examine how technology, logistics, merchandising and revamped vendor partnerships are combining to reshape the traditional grocery model.Dorgan and Mantel have both spoken at prior Institute events.
