Costco recently wrapped its 26th annual fundraising campaign to benefit Children's Miracle Network.Throughout May, the warehouse club solicited donations for the nonprofit at checkout and via costco.com. Paper balloons bearing the names of donors were showcased upfront and in store photo departments.General Mills joined this year's effort by pledging $100,000 and providing exclusive packages of Big G cereals that received prominent placement in clubs through sampling events and pallet displays. Ameriprise Financial also donated $5 for every Costco member who requested a car insurance quote during May.Individual clubs held additional fundraisers such as car washes, races and lunches. Facebook updates and a home-page display ad at costco.com supported.A national corporate sponsor of CMN since 1988, Costco has raised roughly $137 million for the cause. Last year's campaign brought in $19 million.
