Campbell's Soup's shopper marketing execs Michelle Morale and Marci Raible will be joined by Spark Foundry’s April Carlisle at the Path to Purchase Institute's annual Future Forward conference, May 13-15 in Philadelphia, for an informative session on “Renewing the Relevance of Iconic Brands: What’s Cooking at Campbell’s.” Together, they'll discuss their partnership, new approaches to audience-first media planning and how iconic brands such as Campbell’s, Pace and V8 are capturing the generation of Chunky Soup fans.

Campbell’s Soup Company has introduced its first limited-edition condensed canned soup flavor that combines two things that often go hand in hand.

The "Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup" flavor, unveiled on March 7, is rolling out to stores ahead of and in celebration of National Grilled Cheese Day on April 12, according to a media release.

To draw attention to the product launch, Campbell’s is giving away 412 cans in honor of the micro-holiday through a sweepstakes ending March 20. Entrants enter the giveaway through a dedicated entry site.

In stores, the product has already been spotted garnering prime secondary merchandising space via gold and red floorstands touting its “limited edition” availability.

Campbell’s says this small batch release infuses its iconic tomato soup with the flavors of a grilled cheese sandwich. The soup can be prepared with water for a more tomato taste, or with milk for a cheesier flavor.

“Grilled cheese and tomato soup has always been perfect together,” Gary Mazur, vice president soup and broth, Campbell’s meals and beverages division, said in the release. “It is a classic pairing for all generations, and it has drawn increasing fandom in recent years. Nothing can top the greatness of a grilled cheese sandwich dunked in Campbell’s tomato soup. As we developed our first-ever limited time only condensed flavor, it was the clear choice.”
