Media Player Delivers Content to Shelf

Henderson, Nev. -- Duco Technologies added a small-screen, low profile model to its line of LCD Media Players for use in small P-O-P applications and on-shelf display programs. The new model features a 4.3-inch screen housed in lightweight, injection-molded plastic, and plays up to five different push-button or motion-sensor activated videos. The battery-powered players can be activated using up to five push buttons, one for each video, and stores video content via internal memory. The AC-powered players can be activated using a single push button or up to five push buttons, a single motion sensor, or a combination of up to four push buttons and one motion sensor. AC-powered units have an instant start-up time, while the battery-powered units start up in less than two seconds.Video content, provided by customers based on specific digital formats, is stored on 2GB memory cards, allowing for approximately 140 minutes of playback time. Battery-powered media players also come with a built-in internal memory best suited for circumstances in which changing video content may not be needed. "However, because the units also have memory card slots, video messages that need to be updated or changed can be done easily and quickly," says Bart Unger, executive vice president. "New video content can simply be placed on a memory card, and the new card inserted into the media player. The new video will override the video on the internal memory."Once the memory card is removed, the original video on the internal memory is available for viewing. Content stored on the internal memory must be installed by Duco Technologies prior to shipping. The internal memory can store up to 20 minutes of video. "All of the connecting slots for the various accessories such as push buttons, motion sensor, up to two external speakers, AC adapter, battery pack, memory card slot and on-off switch are easily accessible," he says. "The volume control and brightness control are positioned for easy adjustments, as well."
