Betty Booze Debuts Exclusively at Total Wine & More

Total Wine & More received an exclusive launch window for Betty Buzz’s Betty Booze, which rolled out at select stores in June. The low-alcohol sparkling cocktail is stocked in Total Wine & More’s new item showcase and in the refrigerated perimeter. Signs and price tags describe the three flavors — tequila with lime shiso, tequila with oak-smoked lemonade, and bourbon with apple ginger sour cherry — and note that they are part of the retailer’s Spirits Direct discount program. (Loyalty cardholders received a 10% discount on Spirits Direct products through Aug. 6.) Betty Booze also received a tasting spectacular near the entrance that features case stacks for each flavor, a trio of easel signs and a note to find an associate to try the drink. The product is sold in packs of four 12-ounce cans for $14.99. "When it comes to quality, we're absolutely uncompromising,” Andrew T. Chrisomalis, Betty B Holdings co-founder, said in a media release. "The early success of Betty Buzz proved people expect more from what they drink. And we're going to be the beverage company to serve it to them." Total Wine & More announced the launch across its social channels on June 29. The product was initially available in select stores in California, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin, but as of July 21 it had expanded to the majority of stores in those states as well as Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, South Carolina and Washington. Social media posts link to a brand showcase within TotalWine.com. While BettyBooze.com doesn’t have a store locator, the brand playfully references the exclusive by noting that shoppers can find it “where wine (and more) are totally sold.”
