To this end, we have asked each of you to submit "Store Ready" packaging proposals for your items."Store Ready" is the phrase we use for merchandise received at the store, ready to be put out on the sell floor. Store Ready merchandise requires a minimum amount of unpacking and display effort on the part of the store associate. Store Ready Displays (PDQ's) eliminate unnecessary time and touch, allowing our store associates to focus on our customers. This is a top Wal-Mart initiative.In your proposal, include digital photo or line illustration of the following:Store displayShipment unit (protection)Material composition specifications, i.e. Burst/ECT and performance testingProposed store placement of PDQ (End cap, Side counter, Floor).Include total measurements of proposed PDQ (length, width, & height).PICS Retail NetworkEach of our stores carries the WMTV/PICS Retail Network. Approximately 90 million customers view the network each week. If you are interested in purchasing air time or inquiring further, please contact PICS Retail Network at 415-808-3522.Wal-Mart Radio Network Wal-Mart Radio is a comprehensive in-store radio network providing immediate access to both our customers and associates by way of music, entertainment, company news, and information. Operating as a unique arm within marketing, Wal-Mart Radio works to create a pleasant shopping experience while providing messages that reinforce our corporate image and continuously reflect our market position.Reminder messages or :30-second commercials are available and may air as often as once an hour between 8am and 11 pm CST each day.Vendor Paid MessagesVendor paid commercial space is limited and must be reserved 8-12 weeks in advance. Paid commercials are $6000 per week. We guarantee 72 spots per week but the commercial could air as often as 105 times per week.Traited MessagesCommercials and messages may be traited to specific stores. Traited availability is limited and must be reserved 8-12 weeks in advance.Traited commercials will air every other hour and we guarantee 42 spots per week. The cost for traited commercials is pro-rated based on the number of stores the ad will reach.Monthly Circulars (13 per year)Placement is at buyer's discretion. Insertion rate is 91,000,000 households.Seasonal GuidesAn internal instructional tool mailed to all department managers. At buyer's discretion, key seasonal, rollback, special buys and opening price point items may be featured to raise store's awareness or educate on new technology. Published twice yearly for our modular update andholiday overview.Print, Television and RadioWal-Mart has a strict "no tagging policy". All media bearing our logo must be authorized, produced and placed by Wal-Mart and our advertising agency, Bernstein Rein. No exceptions.If you are interested in placing media, contact your buyer.
