Costco relied entirely on Procter & Gamble to deliver "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" atmosphere in October as the retailer tied in to the manufacturer's massive "Give Hope" campaign.An ad on the inside cover of Costco's latest member mailer showcased pink packaging from Charmin, Tide, Bounty, Downy and Cascade under a "P&G Proudly Supports Early Detection" message. The promotional products were merchandised in stores.E-mail blasts on Oct. 13 and Oct. 20 showcased the same SKUs as "available at your local Costco warehouse." The ads linked to a branded page on costco.com that presented a self-examination guide and a club locator.Campaign graphics included an image of the same P&G employee depicted on the cover of the manufacturer’s October brandSaver FSI event, which introduced the "Give Hope" program.
