Neutrogena Offers 'Reboot' at Walmart
What’s new: Kenvue Brands’ Neutrogena encouraged Walmart shoppers to “reboot your routine” with a New Year’s resolution-themed bulk purchase incentive.
What we saw: In stores, an endcap stocking Neutrogena collagen bank, cleansers and hydro boost used a “live better every day” message to dangle a $5, $10 or $25 Visa e-gift card with a $20, $30 or $75 Kenvue purchase made between Dec. 28 and Feb. 28. The display used a QR code to link to a promotional page within Walmart.com. Shoppers redeemed the offer by uploading their receipt through a page operated by Fandango Loyalty Solutions.
Related activity: Walmart is currently promoting Neutrogena’s suncare products as part of a skincare routine with a brand showcase within Walmart.com. Dermatologists and Neutrogena spokespeople Dr. Dustin Portela and Gabby Morrison promoted the brand during a May 10 Walmart Live interactive shopping event in honor of Melanoma Awareness Month. Walmart plugged the stream on Facebook.
Neutrogena and influencers used Instagram to plug the availability of the brand’s suncare products at Walmart and tout Neutrogena’s sponsorship of the Melanoma Research Foundation’s Miles for Melanoma 5K.
More context: Kenvue also ran a “Get rewarded for healthier resolutions” promotion at Kroger from Dec. 28 to Feb. 28, awarding a $10 reward to shoppers who spent $30 on its products.
