J&J Touts Holiday Incentive at Kroger

Johnson & Johnson is running a digital campaign across Kroger chain websites plugging an account-specific incentive to help shoppers prepare for the holiday season. The incentive promises Kroger shoppers a $10 reward with the purchase of $25 worth of personal care and over-the-counter SKUs from J&J brands such as Band-Aid, Aveeno, Motrin and Listerine. Shoppers redeem the offer by retaining the reward code and following the instructions found on qualifying receipts. The offer is valid from Oct. 23 to Dec. 3, and reward codes must be redeemed by Jan. 7. A holiday-themed home page carousel ad on Kroger chain websites plugs the offer, communicating "it pays to be prepared." The ad directs shoppers to a promotional page that lets them download more information on the incentive and browse eligible items by category (oral care, skin care, allergy and sinus, etc.) and benefits ("digestive relief," "nourishes dry skin," etc.). Additionally, the page directs shoppers to a "one stop for health & wellness" brand showcase, which highlights brands including Tylenol, and positions J&J SKUs as eligible health spending account (FSA or HSA) purchases. The showcase also communicates shoppers can earn rewards through the retailer's "Points Rewards Plus” program with a $30 purchase of eligible J&J products. The J&J incentive at Kroger is an overlay to the manufacturer's national promotion promising shoppers a $5 or $10 reward with the purchase of $15 or $25 worth of J&J products at multiple retailers (excluding Kroger). Rewards can be redeemed in the form of a Visa gift card, Vudu or Fandango promo codes, or an e-gift card at retailers including Barnes & Noble, Best Buy and Dick's Sporting Goods. The offer runs concurrently with the incentive at Kroger and reward codes must be redeemed by Jan. 7 through website activaterewards.com/WinterWellness, where consumers can also enter to win a $500 Visa Rewards gift card through Dec. 10.
