How Revolution Beauty Launched an Exclusive 'Clueless' Collection at Walmart

What’s new: Revolution Beauty leveraged the 30th anniversary of Paramount Pictures’ “Clueless” by launching a makeup collection exclusively at Walmart in May.

What we saw: The Revolution x Clueless collection is stocked on an endcap that uses quotes from the film, such as “Ugh, as if!” and “Nuh uh, no way!” The line includes a $11.97 Staying Out of Trouble blush, $17.97 Highly Selective mini set and $6.97 Fashion Victim lip liner.

Additional support: Walmart and Revolution plugged the collection on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram.

More context: Revolution expanded its presence at Walmart in March by rolling out some of its most popular products, including skin silk serum foundation, superfix misting spray and pout lip oil, to 1,878 stores and Walmart.com.

"The expansion of Revolution Beauty at Walmart reinforces the brand's mission to provide innovative, high-quality products to a diverse community at an accessible price point," Mercedes Copeland, Revolution Beauty senior vice president of wholesale, said in a statement. "Revolution Beauty proves that individuals don't need to sacrifice on quality and performance in pursuit of affordable makeup."

The brand regularly partners with retailers on exclusive limited-edition licensed collections. Ulta Beauty received a line tying in to the 20th anniversary of Paramount Pictures' "Mean Girls" in September, and Target received a collection based on Netflix’s "Emily in Paris" in February 2024.
