Newell Brands is automating its content processes, using an AI agent to streamline and optimize its product detail page (PDP) strategy.

The company is working with CommerceIQ to leverage AI to identify and resolve PDP compliance and optimization, improving accuracy for various search efforts, including SEO, AEO and GEO.

Through this partnership, Newell also gains access to several other AI agent models that focus specifically on sales, shelf availability and assortment, and retail media.

Nick Hammitt, CMO at Newell Brands, said the company was able to build a custom agent in under 80 days.

"We automated what was a heavily manual, repetitive process that simply couldn’t scale with our business," he said in a statement, adding that Newell has already seen a 40x improvement in time saved and will look to scale efforts.

Consumer goods companies are increasing using AI to improve accuracy and engagement within product detail pages, specifically with AI commerce trends in mind.
