Budweiser is promoting its 150th anniversary this year with a massive campaign to get consumers thinking about the heritage of the brand.

At the center is an official birthday party on May 17 at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis. The brand is inviting consumers to join in on the daylong celebration.

Other brand efforts that recognize the anniversary have included:

  • The launch of the Heritage Can Series, featuring retro packaging and collectibles.
  • Its “American Icons” commercial (see below) that aired during Super Bowl LX in February.
  • The Bud 150 Club membership, created in partnership with Major League Baseball, which is giving fans opportunities to win merchandise and tickets to the brewery celebration.

Budweiser’s limited-edition MLB team cans have returned this season with retro-inspired designs. Designed in celebration of the brand's anniversary and America’s 250th birthday, the cans spotlight the brand’s longstanding connection to baseball.

The May ticketed event for fans of legal drinking age will feature live music, exclusive brewery experiences and limited-edition merchandise.

The celebration highlights Budweiser’s “Made of America” platform, with an overview of the brewing process from seed to sip. Attendees will be able to explore the grounds at the Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery — a National Historic Landmark — participate in guided tours of the brewery facility and visit the Budweiser museum.

Tickets to the event give fans access to:

  • A headline concert on the main stage.
  • The Budweiser Clydesdales parading through the brewery campus.
  • An immersive, behind-the-scenes look at the brand's 150-year journey, ending with a tasting.
  • Exclusive access to the Budweiser mobile museum for consumers.
  • A food truck village and biergarten featuring local vendors.
  • Limited-edition Budweiser 150th anniversary merchandise.

“For 150 years, Budweiser has been part of celebrations and milestones across American culture,” Todd Allen, the brand’s senior vice president of marketing, said in a media release. “This one-of-a-kind celebration invites fans to experience the rich history and craftsmanship of the brand right where it all started.”

Budweiser is promoting the event on the us.budweiser.com/celebration promotional site and through Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and X. General ticket sales started in early April.
