Target Chooses Matt Drzewicki to Lead Roundel
Target has promoted Matt Drzewicki to senior vice president of Roundel, its retailer media network, which he's helmed as interim leader since January. His permanent role is effective June 1.
Drzewicki joined Roundel in May 2022 as vice president, partner solutions group. Drzewicki then stepped in to lead the retailer's retail media business in January following Sarah Travis’ appointment to executive vice president and chief digital and revenue officer. He brings to his appointment decades of experience across traditional and digital media, including more than 10 years at Google prior to Target.
“I’m thrilled to step into this new role with Roundel and continue working with our amazing team," Drzewicki said in a statement. "Roundel exists to help our business partners grow by leveraging what only Target can offer — scale, trust, creativity, and a guest who truly wants to be inspired. I’m excited to lead Roundel into its next chapter in close collaboration with our strategic partners, while also expanding and developing new partnerships to continue innovating in the retail media landscape.”
Drzewicki’s appointment reflects the retailer’s continued investment in Roundel as a critical growth engine and a key part of its broader digital and marketing strategy, according to a statement from Target.
The retailer said Drzewicki will lead the Roundel team in its goal of doubling the size of its media business over the next five years — a business that currently generates nearly $2 billion of value for Target.
Roundel generated $163 million in advertising revenue in Q1 of 2025, an increase from $130 million in Q1 of 2024.
