Kodak's Rebate and Coupon Offer Marries Greeting Cards and Film

A new promotion involving greeting cards and photographs -- elements that people associate with memories and being able to share them -- has been unveiled by Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, N.Y. For the first time, Kodak will be cross promoting cards and film with the new "Pick a Card, Any Card" rebate and coupon offer.The program encourages consumers to purchase Kodak Royal Gold 35mm film and a greeting card of their choice between April 30 and June 30. Consumers will receive a rebate of up to $1.50.Several slantback, wing back, countertop and profit strip film merchandisers, four-color promotional headers, rebate pads and a shelf talker -- designed specifically for use in greeting card aisles -- are among the tools featured by the program. The merchandisers are standard Kodak displays customized for the program. Camera-ready print advertisements and radio spot copy are also available to support dealers and retailers.Three varieties of a stocked, corrugated slantback film merchandiser, each measuring approximately 19 inches wide by 49 inches high by 11 inches deep (including fold-up header with rebate pad), hold either 60 or 100 carded single rolls or 50 carded, horizontal two-packs.The same merchandiser accommodates the three different product formats with corrugated fillers, automatically included. The standard base is shipped flat and twists to open. The slantback merchandisers were designed and manufactured by Georgia Pacific Corp., Atlanta.Two versions of a corrugated wing rack merchandiser, each measuring approximately 14 inches wide by 39 inches high by 6 inches deep (including fold-up header with rebate pad), hold either 100 carded single rolls or 100 two-packs. The stocked merchandiser slides easily into a standard 14-inch-wide metal wing rack, not included with the offer. The wing rack was designed and manufactured by Weyerhaeuser Paper Co., Rochester, N.Y.Weyerhaeuser also designed and manufactured the corrugated counter merchandiser. This unit measures approximately 12 inches wide by 15 inches high by 13 inches deep (including fold-up header with rebate pad) and comes stocked with 40 carded single rolls.The stocked, profit strip merchandiser, designed as a second location display, holds ten carded single rolls and measures approximately 2 inches wide by 31 inches high by 2 inches deep, including header with rebate pad. There's a minimum of five strips per order. The clip strip was designed and manufactured by Graphic Communications of Rochester, N.Y. Retailers wishing to utilize their own clip strips or other merchandising vehicles may order the clip strip promotional header and rebate pads separately.The greeting card rack shelf talker inserts easily at a 90-degree angle into greeting card racks and includes the rebate pad.Graphics for the "Pick a Card, Any Card" program were designed for Kodak by Corea & Eibl Inc., an advertising agency based in Rochester, N.Y.
