Amazon Canada Gets Head Start on Prime Day With Deals, Sweepstakes
Amazon Canada is promoting its four-day Prime Days event with savings and a sweepstakes.
Prime Day is officially July 8-11, but the e-tailer got a jump start on the seasonal excitement, including offering:
- Savings on Amazon devices (such as Echo Pop, Fire tablets and TV devices) beginning June 17 at their lowest prices ever, per the e-tailer.
- Deals on Canadian and small business brands (such as Organika, MalloMe, Gala Houseware, IMGadgets and Only One Treats) as well as savings on Philips, Shark, Ninja, Lego and Levi’s products. The e-tailer’s Canada Showcase storefront also has deals.
- A chance to win 1 million Aeroplan — Air Canada’s loyalty program — points, beginning July 18, which can be used toward travel, gift cards and more.
To promote Prime Days, Amazon Canada brought back Giftmania, which was first launched in late 2023, in time for the holidays, with retired pro wrestler Bret "The Hitman" Hart and YouTuber and comedian Lilly Singh. This year, Hart and Singh are back, "training" harder than ever for "Giftmania: Checkout Champions" and its sweepstakes, which runs June 17 to July 11. Prime members who opt in earn entries on every purchase over 20 Canadian dollars (including Prime video purchases) and double entries on purchases made on select brands or via the mobile app.
Weekly prizes include trips, sporting event tickets, cruises and products from brands such as Apple, Logitech, Jamieson, Duracell and Sony.
Aeroplan and Prime members can earn 10 times the points when shopping Aeroplan’s e-store during Prime Days for a chance to win one of 10 prizes of 1 million Aeroplan points.
