Sharpie, Elmer's Support 'Toy Story 5'

Brands offer a limited-edition collection of creative tools inspired by the film's colors and characters.

Newell Brands is calling out to fans of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie as it hopes to create excitement for its products leading up to Disney-Pixar's "Toy Story 5" that will open in theaters on June 19.

The Sharpie and Elmer's brands in April launched a limited-edition collection of creative products. They created the character-driving packaging and designs — featuring the title’s iconic colors — to not only grab the attention of new as well as longtime fans, but also encourage gift-giving.

The Sharpie permanent markers, Sharpie S-Note highlighters, Elmer's glue sticks and Elmer's slime kits will be on digital and physical shelves nationwide at Amazon, Walmart and Target.

The collection includes themed sets designed to make creativity easy and approachable across everyday moments — from labeling school supplies and organizing notes, to hands-on crafting and play. The collection also serves as a Disney keepsake for fans looking to bring a piece of "Toy Story 5" into their everyday routines.

Additionally, in support of the collection and the theatrical marketing campaign, Sharpie and Elmer's have collaborated with Disney-Pixar for a 30-second spot featuring products from both brands that encourage shoppers to maximize their creativity.

"Sharpie and Elmer's have long been part of how people create, learn and express themselves at every age," Kris Malkoski, Newell Brands' president of the learning and development segment, said in a media release.

She added that the collaboration allows its brands to connect with fans to celebrate creativity while encouraging them to use these tools to help create their own stories.

The "Toy Story 5" release celebrates the enduring power of storytelling to connect and inspire, added Disney’s Lylle Breier, executive vice president of partnerships promotions and special events. “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Sharpie and Elmer's to encourage fans to express their creativity and let their imagination take them to infinity and beyond."
