Ahold Delhaize USA banner Giant Food appointed Gregg Dorazio its next VP of marketing.

In his new role, Dorazio will work to deepen customer connections across channels, align marketing strategies with merchandising and operations and support the company's ongoing growth priorities.

A member of Giant Food's leadership team since 2019, most recently as strategy and e-commerce lead, Dorazio has played a key role in developing the company's strategic business plans, furthering priority growth initiatives and guiding Giant Food’s online pickup and delivery programs.

Before coming to Giant Food, Dorazio spent 14 years in brand marketing leadership roles with Ahold Delhaize and CPG leader General Mills, heading up initiatives across advertising, multicultural marketing, sponsorships, customer development, marketing operations and shopper marketing. His wide experience spans brand strategy, innovation, e-commerce and customer growth.

"Gregg's unique combination of strategic thinking, marketing expertise and deep understanding of our customers makes him exceptionally well positioned to lead Giant Food's marketing organization," Giant Food President Ira Kress said. "His leadership has already contributed significantly to our growth and digital transformation efforts, and I am confident he will continue strengthening our brand while helping us deliver meaningful experiences for our customers both in-store and online."

"I'm honored to step into this role and continue serving a brand that has such a strong connection to the communities we serve," Dorazio noted. "I look forward to working alongside our talented teams to build on Giant Food's momentum, strengthen our customer relationships and continue delivering innovative and meaningful experiences for shoppers."

Dorazio earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from Indiana University. He sits on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County and is the executive sponsor of Giant Food's Corporate Council.

He succeeds Dyani Hanrahan, who will leave Giant Food at the end of July after almost a decade at the company. Since joining Giant Food in 2017, Hanrahan has helped update the company’s marketing capabilities, bolstered its brand presence and fostered a culture of collaboration and innovation.
