C4 Sends a 7-Eleven Shopper to WrestleMania
What’s new: Nutrabolt’s C4 activated its WWE sponsorship with a sweepstakes that ran at 7-Eleven and Speedway from March 1 to April 20.
Where shoppers get value: Shoppers entered by purchasing a C4 product using their 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards app. To one winner who entered through March 17, the sweeps awarded a trip to WrestleMania on April 20 in Las Vegas. Additionally, for entrants throughout the entire promotional period, there were 55 runner-up prizes of $100 in WWE FanCash.
What we saw: A cooler cling spotted at 7-Eleven depicted WWE Superstars CM Punk, Rhea Ripley and Seth “Freakin” Rollins. The cling plugged the sweeps and offered three C4 drinks for $7, spotlighting the co-branded Ruthless Raspberry flavor C4 and WWE launched last year.
Additional support: Both convenience store chains promoted the sweeps with home page display ads. C4 introduced the promotion with a March 3 Instagram post starring Ripley.
Related activity: C4 also participated in the flight of 7-Eleven’s yearlong “Make My Day with $5K” instant-win game that awarded $5,000 daily from Jan. 8 to March 4. 7Rewards members earned entries by purchasing eligible SKUs from brands including Red Bull, Mars Inc.’s Snickers and Celsius. A Jan. 21 Facebook update by 7-Eleven plugged the sweeps and C4’s newly launched Jolly Ranchers flavor produced through a licensing deal with The Hershey Co.
