Kroger Takes Health-Focused Message Across the Country on Wellness Tour
The Kroger Co. will hold a monthlong Wellness Tour in September to take wellness resources to its customers through in-store events and four mini-festivals across the country.
The grocer will host the mini-festival events in the Nashville, Tenn., Houston, Phoenix and Salt Lake City communities, the company said. The 2026 Kroger Wellness Tour replaces the Kroger Wellness Festival event, which had been held in downtown Cincinnati, where the grocer is headquartered, for seven years, a company spokesperson told Cincinnati TV station WKRC in April.
The company said the new mini-festival events will include product sampling, wellness workshops, live cooking demonstrations, fitness activations and giveaways. They will be centered around Kroger Family of Stores locations in the metro areas.
"Kroger touches millions of families every day," Colleen Lindholz, president of Kroger Health, said. "The Wellness Tour is about using that reach to meet customers where they are and make it easier to take one step toward better health."
Participating Kroger stores will hold wellness-focused in-store activations every Friday and Saturday as part of the Wellness Tour. The activations will include better-for-you samples, opportunities to connect with pharmacists, dietitians and other Kroger Health experts, nutrition education, and information about Kroger Health services and wellness resources that are available to shoppers.
Colleen Lindholz's focus on the growing connection between food, nutrition and healthcare will also be explored at EnsembleIQ's upcoming GLP-1 Shopper Summit, where the Kroger Health president is scheduled to deliver the opening keynote. The event, taking place Nov. 12 at the Hilton Chicago, will examine how changing shopper health priorities are reshaping the food, retail and CPG industries.
Cincinnati-based Kroger serves more than 11 million customers daily through an e-commerce and store experience under a variety of banner names.
