Kate Spade New York Launches 300-SKU Collection at Target
What’s new: Global lifestyle brand Kate Spade New York launched a 300-piece limited-edition collection at Target on April 12.
What we saw: Display fixtures stocked a mix of apparel, jewelry and accessories for kids and adults along with housewares, pillows and seasonal products positioned as components for hosting "the ultimate spring party." Shelf signs carried a QR code that linked to a brand page within Target.com for more styles and sizes. Some items were only available in stores, like bicycles and handbags in Target red.
"With versatile pieces that work for every occasion and can't-miss prices, this partnership brings together Kate Spade's signature style with Target's legacy of making the best design accessible to all," Jill Sando, Target's executive vice president and chief merchandising officer apparel and accessories, home and hardlines, said in a media release. "Our teams worked together for two years to create this collection, and I can't wait for consumers to see everything we have to offer. It's stylish, affordable and loaded with items that'll add plenty of joy to everyday moments."
Additional support: Target introduced the collection with email blasts linking to the brand page. The retailer previewed the line on April 2 with an event at New York’s Grand Central Station.
