Bud Light Enlists Football Hall of Famers for Summer Campaign
Anheuser-Busch’s Bud Light brand launched a campaign to celebrate the unofficial sport of summer while recognizing America’s 250th anniversary. The effort is centered around consumers prioritizing grilling this summer.
The “Priorities” video spot features football Hall of Famers Peyton Manning and Emmitt Smith. The pair are shown in the ultimate backyard grilling setup. The 15-second video (see below) is airing across linear, streaming and digital platforms.
“As we cheers to America’s 250th anniversary all summer long, we’re thrilled to join our longtime friends Peyton Manning and Emmitt Smith in our latest campaign that showcases how they will do anything for Bud Light and grilling season, while helping fans around the country enjoy the season with tons of grilling giveaways and our new patriotic packaging,” Todd Allen, senior vice president of marketing for Bud Light and Budweiser, said in a media release.
Consumers can find Bud Light products in limited-edition patriotic packs with a red, white and blue design that supports a longtime partner, Folds of Honor, a nonprofit organization that provides educational scholarships for the families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.
The brand is also calling out its “American Beers For American Heroes” messaging at select locations. A portion of the proceeds from both the patriotic pack and Bud Light draft will be donated to support Folds of Honor. During its 16-year partnership, Anheuser-Busch, its wholesalers and partners have donated more than $37 million and funded more than 7,400 scholarships.
Bud Light and Budweiser are also partnering to engage consumers through its “Grill For America” promotion, giving away $250,000 in grilling essentials that includes coolers and cash prizes. Consumers can enter by scanning the dedicated QR code on packaging and displays and follow the promotion on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
