Rona Launches Exclusive Scotts In-Store Space

Rona is partnering with Scotts Co. to add exclusive lawn and garden care spaces to the Canadian home improvement retailer's stores.

More than 120 stores are housing the concept, devoting prime retail space for easy discovery. The areas feature fertilizers, grass seed and herbicides, and are landing in time for the busy lawn and garden season. 

"Scotts is the No. 1 brand in lawn and garden products. Thanks to this new partnership, we are revitalizing our garden centers to better meet the needs of our customers, just in time for the most important season in our industry," Doug Young, chief merchandising officer at Rona Inc., said in a media release. "The exclusive Scotts space will offer an enhanced customer experience for homeowners and gardening enthusiasts by providing everything they need to succeed in their landscaping and gardening projects."

Rona operates and services more than 425 stores across Canada (with the majority concentrated in Quebec) primarily under the Rona and Rona+ banners. Lowe's sold its Canadian business to Sycamore Partners in 2023. Since then, many former Lowe's locations have been converted to the Rona+ banner, offering a big box shopping experience.
