Winn-Dixie Absorbs 7 Harveys Supermarket Locations in Florida and Georgia
The Winn-Dixie Company announced that seven Harveys supermarket locations in Florida and South Georgia will convert to the Winn-Dixie banner, the latest move in an ongoing effort to consolidate its grocery operations under a single brand.
Southeastern Grocers recently rebranded to The Winn-Dixie Co. That shift follows Aldi's 2024 acquisition of Southeastern Grocers, before selling it to a consortium of private investors less than a year later. In January, Southeastern Grocers rebranded to The Winn-Dixie Co., with plans to convert Harveys banners to the Winn-Dixie name.
Affected stores are spread across four cities in Florida and one in Georgia. Each will take on Winn-Dixie’s updated store design and carry the grocer’s full lineup, including its Own Brand products, prepared foods and the signature Lip Lickin’ Chicken deli program.
The seven stores slated for a makeover include Harveys locations at:
- 5909 University Blvd. W., Jacksonville, Fla.
- 5250 Moncrief Road W., Jacksonville, Fla.
- 4506 SW Heritage Oaks Circle, Lake City, Fla.
- 3435 N. Pine Ave., Ocala, Fla.
- 2630 US Highway 92, Lakeland, Fla.
- 1305 Ariana St. W., Lakeland, Fla.
- 3606 S. Second St., Folkston, Ga.
"For more than a century, Winn-Dixie and Harveys have earned the trust of families and communities across our region," said Anthony Hucker, chairman and CEO of The Winn-Dixie Company. "Bringing our stores together under one iconic name, Winn-Dixie, allows us to build on that shared legacy while continuing to invest in our stores, our associates, and the quality, value, and fresh offerings our customers count on."
