Detailing Schick's Exclusive Sweepstakes at Shoppers Drug Mart

What’s new: Edgewell Personal Care’s Schick helped Loblaw Cos.’ Shoppers Drug Mart entice comic, sci-fi and fantasy fans with an exclusive sweepstakes awarding a trip to Fan Expo Canada 2026.

What we saw: A shelf talker in stores plugged the sweepstakes, which PC Optimum members entered by using their card to purchase a Schick men’s razor or refill product from Oct. 4-31. Additionally, the qualifying purchase awarded shoppers 3,000 PC Optimum points (valued at CA$3). 

Elsewhere in stores, a shelf talker positioned the brand’s new Hydro Silk sugar wax roller as a way to “Get Diwali ready” ahead of the celebration of the Hindu festival of lights on Oct. 20. The sign dangled 4,000 points with the purchase of a qualifying Hydro Silk SKU.

Additional support: Schick and Fan Expo Canada promoted the sweepstakes on Facebook and Instagram.

More context: The sweepstakes ran as part of a large push by Shoppers Drug Mart to emphasize the value of the PC Optimum program with the help of major brands. Members could enter a concurrent sweeps awarding eight CA$1,000 store gift cards, which shoppers entered by buying a Colgate-Palmolive Colgate PerioGard SKU. A shelf talker plugged the promotion and dangled 500 points with a qualifying purchase. 

Other shelf talkers spotted at the chain in October offered: 

  • 8,000 points with a CA$40 purchase of products from Kenvue’s Aveeno.
  • 2,000 points with the purchase of Bayer’s RestoraFibre+.
  • 3,000 points for members buying two SKUs from Kenvue’s Tylenol.
  • 5,000 points for members who spent CA$30 on L’Oreal Paris density booster products.
  • 3,000 points with the purchase of two cold and flu products from Procter & Gamble’s Vicks.
  • 8,000 points with purchase of the new hyaluron filler from Beiersdorf’s Eucerin.
