Meijer Expands Grocery Format Store Footprint
Meijer is expanding the store count of its grocery format stores with the opening of a new location in Indiana.
The 75,000-square-foot store at 15700 Southeastern Parkway in Fishers is scheduled to open Sept. 30. The new location will bring a food-focused shopping experience, offering access to fresh groceries and everyday low prices, according to the retailer.
This will be the second Meijer Grocery format store in Indiana and the retailer's 45th store in the state.
The retailer’s grocery format is designed to offer shoppers the weekly essentials they need in a store that has a smaller footprint than its supercenters. The store will include fresh produce, grocery staples, a full-service bakery, meat, seafood and deli departments, a floral and greeting card section, a pharmacy, health and beauty care and pet supplies.
A Meijer Express fuel station will open adjacent to the store Sept. 2 for quick stops, beverages, snacks or prepared food on the go.
The Fishers Meijer Grocery store will offer Meijer own brands, including Frederik's by Meijer and True Goodness. Frederik's by Meijer, the retailer's premium brand, delivers authentic and innovative flavors in the spirit of its namesake, Fred Meijer, across dozens of product lines. True Goodness offers consciously crafted products free from more than 100 ingredients, making good choices more affordable and accessible.
