Countertop Displays/Mats

Champion International Corp., Stamford, Conn., chose a motion display to illustrate its new packaging concept. The "Stack Pack" motion display was placed in 1,500 office supply and stationery stores in the United States. It was designed to create awareness by educating consumers about the packaging concept.
   The semipermanent display is 80-pound lithographed sheet that is mounted to and die cut from C-flute corrugated. The motion was created by a Hankscraft Motors' D-cell battery-driven action mechanism.

The "space" theme peaks consumer interest and the attached brochures offer information on the racket technology. A key objective was versatility -- the unit can be used on a countertop or mounted on slatwall.

Comments: The unit was designed to fit into the smallest amount of space in a setting that mimicked the under cabinet area of an ordinary kitchen. The display was the corner-stone of the company's marketing efforts, and sales exceeded forecasts.
