Georgia-Pacific has appointed David Duncan as president and CEO, effective immediately. Duncan succeeds Mark Luetters, who had been serving in the role on an interim basis since 2025 while also holding leadership responsibilities at Koch, Inc., Georgia-Pacific’s parent company.

Duncan most recently served as executive vice president of Georgia-Pacific’s consumer products group. He joined the company in 2018 to lead its building products business before transitioning to the consumer side in 2019.

Duncan brings more than 28 years of experience across Koch companies, including managing director for Koch Ventures and Koch Equity Development, chief financial officer for Koch Minerals and various roles at INVISTA.

Alongside the CEO transition, Vivek Joshi has been named EVP of the consumer products business. Joshi previously served as president of the company’s tissue, towel and napkins segment and has been with Georgia-Pacific for more than two decades, holding roles across marketing, innovation and general management.

In his expanded role, Joshi will continue to oversee growth and performance across Georgia-Pacific’s consumer brands portfolio, which includes Dixie, Sparkle and Vanity Fair, among others.

“I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead an organization full of talented and dedicated people,” Duncan said in a media release, also noting Joshi’s long-standing leadership within the business.

The leadership changes come as Georgia-Pacific continues to evolve its consumer products strategy across retail and commercial channels, supported by a broad manufacturing footprint of more than 150 facilities worldwide.
