Southeastern Grocers tied in to Procter & Gamble's Aug. 26 brandSaver FSI event with features in Aug. 29 chain circulars offering loyalty cardholders who purchase two bottles of Gain laundry detergent free SKUs of the brand's fabric softener sheets and liquid fabric softener along with a bottle of private label Essentials bleach as part of the retailer's "What a Deal" program.

H-E-B lured back-to-school shoppers to stores by dangling five free products with purchase of any backpack costing at least $9 from Aug. 15-21.
