  • Nuts & Bolts: Sony DVD Dream System

Selling a stereo is one thing; getting the customer to purchase a complete surround-sound home theater package in one shot can be a bigger challenge. This display, designed for consumer electronics stores such as Best Buy, uses graphics to emphasize ease of setup and to entice customers. Interesting elements include:
    • White styrene. It was fabricated to simulate an open shipping carton, complete with an actual working stereo sample.
    • Clear acrylic riser. The speakers and remote "float" within the carton.
