Ulta Beauty

The beauty and wellness destination is home to an exclusive partnership to promote DC Studios' "Supergirl" movie, offering exclusive products and digital and in-store activations. During its first quarter earnings call last week, Ulta also revealed plans to open a flagship store in New York's Times Square.

Amazon

Amazon continues to roll out AI-enabled features, including more personalized shopping with its Alexa for Shopping feature. It also introduced tools to help shoppers narrow their product searches through visual suggestions, style preferences and "More Like This" prompts. These features and others are in the Amazon profile's new Artificial Intelligence section.

Best Buy

Best Buy is partnering with Meta to bring Meta Lab @ Best Buy to more than 50 stores. There, shoppers can test Meta's AI glasses and VR headsets. 

Metro 

The Canadian grocer's current president and CEO is set to retire at year's end. The retailer's current chief operating officer will succeed him.

Walmart

Some of the mass merchant's recent activity includes:

  • Bringing its Walmart+ membership program to Canada.
  • Adding restaurant delivery. Specifically, express delivery of meals from its in-store Subway eateries.
  • Reaching the milestone of making more than 1 million drone deliveries.
