Design of the Times 2010 Contest Declaration

Based on the popular series of Dutch children's books by Dick Bruna, the Miffy shop-in-shop debuted at a Vroom & Dreesmann (V&D) department store in Amsterdam in November 2009. The shop will be rolled out to other locations as part of the chain's ongoing renovations. The section of children's toys and clothing is anchored by a giant, plush Miffy (the story's main character) and designed to look like a coloring book that's come to life. Black and white fixtures shaped like houses and fences come together to create Miffy's village.
