Prime Competition

Amazon's Prime Day event will soon be upon us — and the mega merchant is already dropping daily deals — but other retailers are holding their own July savings events, including:

  • Kroger: The grocer is holding two weeks of Boost Bonus Days, which overlap Amazon's two-day event. Members enjoy a few freebies during, and Kroger is offering a half-price membership for a limited time.
  • Walmart: The Walmart+ Week is over, and the Walmart Deals event is winding down, but the retailer is offering a half-price Walmart+ paid membership until July 18.
  • Target: Circle Week has arrived, with daily deals for Circle members, discounts on seasonal SKUs, and half-off a Target Circle 360 membership.

Ready to Hit the Books

Back-to-school and back-to-college are mere weeks away, and seasonal aisles at stores such as Best Buy, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Kroger, Target, Walmart and others are filling up with folders, pencils, backpacks and more.

Divestiture List

The Kroger-Albertsons merger isn't a foregone conclusion, but the two grocers released a list of stores that would be divested to C&S Wholesale Grocers if federal regulators greenlight the deal. To access the list, visit the Kroger profile here, and scroll down to Resources.

Something New

In addition to actively tending to retailer profiles, P2PI continues to add new entries. The newest additions are for Canadian Tire, Loblaw and Co-op.
