Retail media has grown increasingly complex. Fragmented ecosystems, a lack of standardization and no true one-size-fits-all solution means that success in commerce media requires expert teams, hard-earned insights and adaptability. 

At the Path to Purchase Institute’s flagship conference, P2PI LIVE & Expo, Nov. 12-14, Amber Roberts, partnership director at SMG x Threefold, a retail media agency based in New York and London, will take the stage to explore this topic. On Wednesday, Nov. 13, she’ll detail 20 top lessons learned from the company’s more than 15 years spent building and operating major retail media networks.

Roberts joined Threefold in 2023. She currently leads a team helping retailers with their retail media strategies. She has spent two decades working across the retail industry, including Fortune 100, Global 300 companies and startups. She previously spent about four years at Kroger, where she was one of the first digital hires and established the framework for its current retailer media network (Kroger Precision Marketing). Most recently, Roberts worked as a consultant for small- and mid-sized grocery retailers developing their omnichannel marketing strategies.
