Target Triples Its Number of Apple Shops
Target is tripling the number of Apple at Target store-within-a-store experiences to give more shoppers access to Apple products, accessories and perks just ahead of the holidays. In addition, the partners are also giving Target Circle members access to a free trial of Apple Fitness+, the tech manufacturer’s exercise tracking companion app.
Apple at Target Shops
In February 2021, Target unveiled the first Apple at Target shops, elevating the presence of electronics and accessories at Target and expanding the retailer’s fleet of branded experiences in stores and online (e.g., Apple, Ulta Beauty, Disney and Levi’s).
As of Oct. 26, there are more than 150 Apple at Target locations, according to a recent news release. Each location features Apple-trained Target Tech Consultants and doubles the space dedicated to Apple products, including the newly launched Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8, AirPods Pro (second generation), iPad, iPad Pro, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14. A full list of the locations is available via the retailer’s store locator by filtering for Apple at Target.
Guests also can shop the entire Apple at Target assortment on Target.com and via the retailer’s mobile app, which also includes product videos and comparisons. Shoppers also still have access to 5% off all Apple purchases and free shipping on orders of $35 or more when using their Target RedCard.
Free Trials of All Apple Services
Members of Target Circle, the retailer’s loyalty program, can receive four free months of Apple Fitness+, formerly Activity, without making a purchase. Fitness+ is now available for iPhone users to subscribe to even if they do not have an Apple Watch.
Target Circle members can also access special offers on select Apple services, including up to five months free of Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News+ and iCloud+ beginning in November. The offer is available through January 5, 2023. Full offer details are available in the Target app by going to “My Target” and clicking on the “New Offers: free Apple trials” link within the Target Circle section.
“Guests love the branded and immersive retail experiences we’re creating with Apple and other partners including Disney, Ulta Beauty and Levi’s,” Jill Sando, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer, Target, said in the release. “With this Apple expansion, we’re giving guests even more reasons to choose Target for all their shopping and tech service needs.”
