Lindt & Sprungli USA launched its first interactive virtual storefront in mid-November, ahead of the holiday season.

The confectionery company created the fully 3D store to offer U.S. consumers a unique way to experience a Lindt store and engage with the brand from wherever they are, according to a news release.

Developed by ByondXR, a 3D commerce platform, the storefront offers a photorealistic store interior, colorfully decorated for the holidays like a Lindt store.

Site visitors are welcomed with an introduction from one of Lindt’s Master Chocolatiers, Ann Czaja, who acts as a guide throughout the virtual experience. They can move around the store and click on different departments and areas such as the Chocolate Lab, the Lindor truffles wall and the gifting & boxed chocolates station to explore the brand deeper and purchase products.

Consumers can shop directly in the virtual store by clicking on a desired product, adding it to a cart and checking out. They can also interact with a Lindt “Chocolate Advisor” via a LiveChat box.

In the Chocolate Lab, users can learn about Lindt's chocolate-making process, the company's commitment to sustainability and their “bean-to-bar concept,” according to the release. They can also visit the holiday inspired living room section and play a Lindt memory game to win a discount for use on the site.
