DJ Khaled’s CBD Brand Debuts Pop-Up in Chicago
Khaled Mohamed Khaled (aka DJ Khaled), a Grammy-winning artist and producer turned inspirer of good vibes, is introducing his new CBD-infused skincare brand Blesswell to Chicagoans and tourists through a pop-up experience.
Dubbed Groomed x Blesswell, the “immersive, ultra-luxe self-care experience” opens on Sept. 29 at the Kimpton Gray Hotel storefront in downtown Chicago, and will run through Oct. 23.
The pop-up will offer branded merchandise and complimentary grooming services including cuts, shaves and facials using Blesswell products. Award-winning barber JC Tha Barber, alongside some of Chicago’s very own barbers part of the Anti Broke Barbers Club, will rotate in and out of the shop, providing services and sharing tips and trends related to the CBD-infused line.
Aiming to provide plenty of "Instagrammable" moments, Groomed x Blesswell will also house two "state-of-the-art" grooming stations, lounge seating with gaming, and a bar offering Beam Suntory’s Jim Beam highballs, Hornitos seltzers and On The Rocks Cocktails. The full collection of Blesswell products, which spans a blue charcoal face mask, conditioning beard oil, daily moisturizer, facial cleansing scrub, lathering body wash and an ultimate shave cream, will also be available to purchase on-site. Consumers can make appointments through a dedicated microsite or walk-in to experience the shop.
To celebrate the pop-up’s first opening, Khaled is awarding one fan and a guest with a “Blesswell Grooming Getaway,” comprising a two night stay at the Kimpton Gray Hotel, a $500 travel voucher to Chicago, a virtual meet-and-greet with DJ Khaled and VIP access to the Groomed x Blesswell experience. Khaled will officially announce the giveaway via Instagram on Sept. 29.
"I strive to better myself every day, and CBD has become an essential part of my daily routine that allows me to focus my mind and my energies," Khaled said in a recent media release. "Blesswell was created to introduce men and women to a whole body, holistic form of self-care, and I'm honored to bring the collection to Chicago first."
For its part, the Kimpton Gray Hotel is partnering with Blesswell to offer a limited-edition "Room + Groom" package, including a hotel stay in the historic building. Guests will be welcomed with a complimentary Blesswell gift set and VIP salon grooming experience. Guests are invited to book the package by contacting the Kimpton.
Ryan Stender, a Chicago native and co-founder of Blesswell said in the release, "There is no city better-suited to host the first-ever Groomed x Blesswell pop-up more than my hometown. This luxurious yet accessible shop will offer men and women a fun opportunity to experience the brand first-hand through the world's most talented barbers, while also providing them the tools to achieve their healthiest skin and hair at home."
Blesswell, which was developed in partnership with Endexx Corporation’s CBD Unlimited operating division and launched back in May exclusively at blesswell.co, plans to bring the pop-up experience to other cities across the country in 2022. Impact Brokers, a Miami-based agency specializing in CBD brands heads up sales and integrated marketing efforts, including the pop-up, for Blesswell.
As the self-care market continues to grow, particularly among younger consumers, wellness and grooming is one emerging subcategory and DJ Khaled’s CBD line is just another example of the growing market.
