Mood Media, an on-premise media and marketing company based in Austin, Texas, has acquired Vibenomics, an in-store and digital advertising network and solutions provider, for an undisclosed amount.

Its solutions already included customized music playlists, messaging, digital signage, content management, interactive kiosks and scent marketing.

Vibenomics' assets strengthen Mood's ability to deliver effective programmatic advertising as well as enables deeper insights for advertisers, increased revenue opportunities for brands and greater consumer engagement and analytics at the point of sale, according to a media release announcing the deal.

"We are thrilled to welcome Vibenomics to the Mood Media family," Mood Media CEO Malcolm McRoberts, said in the release. "Their innovative technology and expertise in audio advertising will enable us to further enhance the in-store experience for our clients' customers. With this acquisition, Mood Media can now offer a complete suite of audio and visual in-store media solutions that are tailored to each client's specific needs."

It will offer a single point of integration for retail media platforms to access, deliver, measure and evaluate on-premise digital impressions. Retailers will also be able to measure the impact of on-premise digital messaging via multi-touch models and omnichannel strategies, per the release.

Vibenomics CEO Brent Oakley added, "Joining forces with Mood Media will allow us to accelerate our growth and deliver even more value to our customers."

Vibenomics works with hundreds of CPGs and more than 50 endemic and non-endemic categories today. The company plans to expand its retail locations to more than 500,000 worldwide.

The acquisition is a significant move in the in-store media solutions space. It builds on the two companies' relationship that was formed in 2022.
