Quotient Launches Cash-Back App in U.S.

The Shopmium app leverages proprietary technology to increase brand trial/loyalty and facilitate measurable online and offline shopper interactions.

After a successful run in Europe, Quotient has launched its Shopmium consumer savings app in the U.S.

Part of the Quotient Promotions Network, Shopmium provides savings and brand discovery via a single touchpoint.

The app originated in France, where it amassed approximately 10 million users and is used by 20% of households, according to a news release from Quotient. It is also available in the U.K. and Belgium.

With inflationary pressures still heavy on the minds of consumers, Shopmium was created to offer cash back on everyday purchases and help shoppers make more informed, money-saving decisions. With no threshold for payout and offers available anywhere in the U.S. (with proof of purchase and subject to offer terms and conditions), the app enables shoppers to buy featured products online or in-store, take a picture of the receipt and receive cash back via their PayPal account.

The Shopmium app delivers media that “proactively surfaces” new brands and products to consumers as they browse for savings and enhances discoverability of alternative products. With media ads built directly into the app, Shopmium allows advertisers to communicate their brand message via media while delivering savings via promotions.

Shopmium also offers brands an engaged audience to introduce new products, drive trial and loyalty, gain consumer insights and data, and generate measurable sales while leveraging Quotient’s anti-stacking technology that prevents multiple offers from being redeemed for the same product at one time.

Coca-Cola, Nestle, Unilever and Dole have already been using the platform to connect with European consumers.

The Shopmium app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
