Best Buy Increases Number of Yardbird Showrooms

With patio season approaching, Best Buy’s outdoor furniture brand Yardbird is expanding its footprint by opening 11 additional standalone stores across the U.S. The new showrooms are located in Atlanta; Boston; Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; Cincinnati; Milwaukee; San Antonio; San Francisco; Tampa and West Palm Beach, Florida; and on Long Island in New York. In 2022, Yardbird opened standalone stores in Denver, Washington, D.C. and Chicago. Yardbird showrooms offer an assortment of sectional sofas, dining sets, lounge chaises, fire tables, umbrellas, accessories and more products, according to a recent post to Best Buy’s corporate blog. In-house designers will also be available to help shoppers decide which furniture options are best for them. “We love showing customers what Yardbird is all about,” Jay Dillon, co-founder of Yardbird, said in the blog. “By nearly doubling the number of showrooms, we’re able to showcase exactly what sets us apart from other outdoor furniture companies.” Best Buy acquired Yardbird in 2021 as part of its work to create an outdoor living environment for customers and offer more options as they upgrade their spaces. The collection of sustainable furniture joined the retailer’s existing assortment of outdoor TV and audio products. “Yardbird is the perfect addition to Best Buy, especially for customers who are already coming to us to improve their outdoor living spaces,” Blake Hampton, category officer at Best Buy, added. “We’re thrilled to introduce Yardbird to these new cities and offer more customers a place to come see the latest in outdoor furniture and get expert advice while they shop.” Yardbird partners with CarbonFund.org to offset its carbon footprint and use recyclable materials whenever possible. For example, the brand uses plastic that would otherwise end up in the ocean in select furniture pieces. Yardbird furniture is available on Yardbird.com and at its 14 existing showrooms across the U.S., as well as in 50 Best Buy stores, including its experiential stores.
