During the last week of July, LG Electronics hosted design and cooking influencers at a modern speakeasy in New York to experience the new LG Counter-Depth Max Mirror InstaView refrigerator. The appliance features the manufacturer’s Door-in-Door design that lets users see inside by knocking instead of opening the door.
Guests entered the “Max Lounge by LG” speakeasy through a secret doorway that resembled an LG refrigerator door. According to a media release from LG, the immersive bar lounge was inspired by the product's “sleek style, details and finishes.”
Mixology experts and craft cocktail connoisseurs from Liquid Lab NYC, which specializes in interactive events, hosted classes to show guests how to make cocktails and mocktails using the various forms of ice the InstaView fridge produces. (As one of its staple features, the refrigerator offers four types of “slow-melting” ice: round Craft Ice, cubed, crushed ice or mini-cubed chewable ice, according to the release.)
Select attendees heard from chef and author Antoni Porowski, who also stars in Netflix’s “Queer Eye,” on the Counter-Depth Max with Mirror InstaView’s design and style. Porowski also discussed his favorite features, such as "the next-level cooling technologies” that keeps food “fresh and flavorful” as well as the dual ice maker with four settings (i.e., round Craft Ice, cubed, crushed ice or mini-cubed chewable ice), according to the release.
