The Path to Purchase Institute’s annual Future Forward conference will take place in New Orleans from May 16-18. Here are four reasons why this is a must-attend event for your organization.

1.) Networking Opportunities

Attendees will have the opportunities to meet and connect with industry peers, experts, potential clients and the media in-person.

Note: On May 16, we’ll host a Futures & Legends roundtable and lunch where attendees will be seated with the Path to Purchase Institute’s prestigious Hall of Fame honorees, members of the Commerce Executive Network (CEN) and the winners of our 40 Under 40 Awards. We will explore a variety of topics at the tops of marketers’ minds during this interactive session.

2.) Rich and Innovative Content

Future Forward will showcase out-of-the-box content and proprietary research on a wide breadth of topics, with a focus on demystifying the new consumer, exploring the future of commerce, shopper behavior and trend forecasting, as well as retail media metrics, the in-store experience, and the metaverse and Web3.

From keynote speeches to more intimate strategic sessions, we have a robust lineup of speakers, including Amy Avellar, director, shopper marketing at SmartyPants Vitamins; Trend forecaster and founder of 8Ball Sean Monahan; Jenny Holleran, group director, Kroger Precision Marketing; Ari Peralta, neuroscientist & sensory designer at Arigami; and Joseph Vizcarra, group vice president, customer marketing at Coca-Cola. The Institute’s director of member content, Patrycja Malinowska, will also unveil proprietary research focused on the in-store experience and current shopping habits with Great Northern Instore’s Dan Sabanosh.

3.) Celebrate the 40 Under 40 Class of 2023

From 5-7 p.m. on May 17, the Institute will honor the next generation of leaders under 40 as well as three industry icons (2023 Hall of Fame inductees Mimi Dixon of Crayola, Brent Rosso of Ulta Beauty, and Bob Waibel of Conagra Brands) during an awards ceremony and cocktail reception. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with fellow attendees from brands, retailers and solutions providers while also celebrating this year’s winners.

4.) Experience New Orleans

On May 18, attendees can level-up their experience beyond the walls of the Sheraton hotel and go on an immersive adventure of their choosing. For those interested, attendees must select the excursion (see below) they want to go on at registration.

  • Glamorous Garden District Tour with Cemetery
  • The Local’s Guide to the French Quarter Tour
  • Sinister Criminal Intentions: the Original True Crime Tour
  • New Orleans Bus Tour
  • Breakfast at Brennan’s

“Shopper behavior is evolving at a dizzying pace. Future Forward will focus on understanding why consumers shop, and the implications of their changing behaviors on brands and businesses,” says Eric Savitch, vice president and brand director, the Path to Purchase Institute. “We’re excited to bring together a think tank of leading industry executives to help attendees succeed in the next generation of commerce.”
