Northeast Grocery Inc. (NGI) has rolled out upgraded digital platforms for its Market 32, Price Chopper and Tops Markets banners through Instacart’s Storefront Pro technology.

The refreshed websites and mobile apps feature simplified navigation, modernized design, faster search and checkout functions, and integrated loyalty and savings tools designed to improve usability and personalization.

Shoppers can access weekly ads, clip digital coupons, reorder previous purchases and place catering or takeout orders through the interface. Tops Markets’ weekly flyer now features an improved departmental layout, while Market 32 and Price Chopper’s ad is fully shoppable, allowing customers to add items directly to their carts, according to a statement.

The enhancements also expand payment options to include Venmo, PayPal, HSA/FSA cards and SNAP EBT. Redesigned mobile apps offer easier access to loyalty cards — including AdvantEdge and BonusPlus — as well as updated visuals, ad formats and placements, aisle guide information and improved navigation.

The retailer said the updates reflect its continued investment in convenience and digital growth. “Storefront Pro is the next evolution — giving us the tools to make shopping faster, simpler and more personalized,” John Persons, CEO of NGI, said in the statement.

The upgrades mark the latest step in a longstanding collaboration between NGI and Instacart. Market 32 and Price Chopper first partnered with the grocery technology company in 2017 for same-day delivery, later expanding to online ordering, retail media and catering tools.

Since NGI’s 2021 formation, Tops Markets has also adopted Instacart’s enterprise technology, including Carrot Ads and FoodStorm order management.

Ryan Hamburger, vice president of commercial partnerships at Instacart, said the integration helps retailers “create a seamless connection between their stores and digital channels” while maintaining brand identity.

Northeast Grocery operates nearly 300 supermarkets across six Northeastern states under its three banners.
