ColourPop Brings 'Toy Story' Collection to Ulta

ColourPop Toy Story Ulta Display Fixtures

What’s new: ColourPop Cosmetics brought a line of licensed products based on Disney’s "Toy Story" films to Ulta Beauty in March as part of an ongoing partnership with the retailer. The collection was inspired by the 30th anniversary of the original movie.

What we saw: In stores, the Toy Story Collection by ColourPop was stocked on a display fixture. The SKUs, depicting characters from all four films in the series, include a $24 eyeshadow palette, $12 lip mask and $27 eyeshadow trio. In some fixtures, the Toy Story trays were replaced by bins stocking other ColourPop SKUs.

Supporting activity: The limited-edition collection launched on March 20 on ColourPop.com before rolling out to Ulta.com and Ulta stores on March 28. ColourPop promoted the launch on Facebook, TikTok and Instagram with posts tapping beauty influencers including Melody Bruno and Olivia Hernandez to film videos showing looks incorporating the SKUs.

More context: ColourPop has regularly released collections exclusively at Ulta since debuting at the retailer in 2018. The brand followed the Toy Story line with a limited-edition collection based on Disney’s 2010 film, “Tangled,” that appeared on ColourPop.com on April 24 and Ulta.com April 27. ColourPop launched a collection based on Summit Entertainment’s supernatural romance film “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” at Ulta on Jan. 12. The line proved so popular it quickly sold out but was restocked in February.
