How ColourPop Brought 'Lilo & Stitch' Products to Ulta
What’s new: ColourPop Cosmetics tied in to the May 23 theatrical release of Disney’s "Lilo & Stitch" by launching a line of licensed products at Ulta Beauty as part of an ongoing partnership with the retailer.
What we saw: Ulta stores stocked the Lilo & Stitch collection on display fixtures that spotlighted the film’s release date and line’s exclusive status. The line depicting the alien critter comprises $16 eyeshadow sticks, $12 lip gloss and a $22 eyeshadow palette.
Supporting activity: The limited-edition collection launched on ColourPop.com and ColourPop’s TikTok shop on May 15 before rolling out to Ulta on May 18. ColourPop and Ulta promoted the line across TikTok, Facebook and Instagram, with posts tapping beauty influencer India Rose to film videos showing looks incorporating the SKUs.
More context: ColourPop has regularly released collections exclusively at Ulta since debuting at the retailer in 2018.
The brand launched a line of Fresh Kiss lip masks in vanilla cake, strawberry milk and chocolate milkshake flavors on ColourPop.com on July 1. The line rolled out to Ulta on July 6 and Target on July 13.
The brand gave Ulta a line based on Disney’s “Tangled” in April, and one inspired by the “Toy Story” franchise in March to celebrate the original movie's 30th anniversary.
